Dyson has launched a new air purifier—the Dyson Purifier Hot plus Cool Gen 1—in India. The announcement comes amid growing air pollution with Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, and other parts of the National Capital Region (NCR) reporting low visibility from smog and “very poor” AQI levels. The highlight of this air purifier is that it is a relatively affordable option in Dyson’s line-up boasting room heating and cooling technology.
The Dyson Purifier Hot plus Cool Gen 1 is priced at Rs 56,900, a good Rs 10,000 less than the existing Dyson Purifier Hot plus Cool which you can also find on Amazon, just like this one. Yes, there are hardware differences. The one that costs Rs 66,900 is superior and has more intricate purifying with Activated Carbon Filter, plus enhanced smart home connectivity.
Dyson says the Hot plus Cool Gen 1 has an intelligent sensor that automatically detects dust, pollen (PM2.5, PM10) and other particle pollution. A small LCD screen onboard also shows you the level in real time. That display dims when you switch on the night mode for when you want a bit more quite for peaceful sleep. A built-in sleep timer turns off the air purifier after pre-defined intervals of 1, 2, 4, and 8 hours on its own.
The Dyson Purifier Hot plus Cool Gen 1 features “fully sealed” HEPA filters billed to capture up to 99.95 percent of ultrafine particles as small as 0.1 microns. Dyson doesn’t mention room size but says that the purifier is tested under real-world conditions to offer optimal performance for the “whole room.”
The heating and cooling ability is obviously a big draw with 350-degree oscillation to project air around the whole room and “even” whole-room heating.
The Dyson Purifier Hot plus Cool Gen 1 comes in a choice of Black/Nickel and White/White and is available across Dyson.in and Dyson Demo stores across India.
