After coming up with a bunch of updates for the last few weeks, Meta is all set to bring in some new tools that can make the app’s appearance more moldable. According to the latest WhatsApp for iOS beta, you can get a ‘chat themes’ feature that could give you more control over the cosmetics.

Reports from WABetaInfo suggest that the latest TestFlight version of WhatsApp for iOS gives you a first look at the upcoming chat themes feature. It looks like that if Meta rolls out this addition, iPhone users will be able to customize the color of the chat bubbles and wallpaper.

WhatsApp update:All you need to know

The messaging platform seems to be all set with a new feature that can allow you to change the colors of your ‘chat bubble’. Now you can ‘go colorful’ from just ‘go green’!

Unlike some other IM apps, critics argued that the proposed WhatsApp’s chat themes feature could be restricted to only five preset colors. The colors include the default green, along with white, blue, pink, and purple.

From what it is understood, apart from the chat bubbles and wallpaper, WhatsApp is believed to be developing a new option to control the app’s accent color. If released, “iOS users will be able to change the in-app button color from green to one of the aforementioned shades,” WhatsApp explained.

Future plans!

Experts suggest that users should keep in mind that these features are still under development. So, eventually Meta could take months before rolling them out to the public, that also if it decides to proceed in the first place.

However, it’s not immediately clear if Android users will also get the same features. Furthermore, WhatsApp also seems to have been working on a feature that would allow iPhone users to change the app’s accent color.
