Apple will launch its latest iPhone soon, and already speculations of its features and price have started doing the rounds. The new device, touted to be called Apple iPhone 8, could start at a price of $870 and might go upto $1070, according to UBS analyst Steven Milunovich. The Wall street analyst wrote a note to his clients where he revealed about the price expectations. While such a cost range appears to be really high even for premium users, this is not the first report which has come up about the hike in pricing. Recently, Fortune had reported that the price of the limited edition iPhone 8 could be as high as $1000.
The latest analyst quote on the next Apple iPhone was picked up first by Business Insider. The report quoted him as saying that the 256GB version of the 10th anniversary iPhone 8 will be priced at $1,070. However, there is no official information on this by Apple, as of now. The company is known to be secretive about the details of its devices before launching them, especially pricing. But, since this is the 10th anniversary of the Apple iPhone, it can be expected that the company will launch something special this year. The iPhone 8 is expected to launch in 2017 itself and will see a massive change in design including wireless charging and edge to edge display if rumours and leaks are to be believed. Therefore, it is not a far-fetched thing to say, that if such dramatic changes are introduced by Apple, the price will go up too.
