Anthropic introduces Claude AI chatbot for Android to make it accessible for everyone. Reportedly, on Tuesday Anthropic launched its Claude AI Android App.
Initially Anthropic, which is an AI firm, launched Claude AI chatbot a couple of months ago as an iOS app. Now Claude AI app will be available for android users on the Play Store.
Claude free for all users
The interface of the Claude AI app is expected to work similarly to the Claude AI website. On top of this it’s even free for users now. Now you can take advantage of all the basic features. The chatbot is powered by Claude 3.5 Sonnet by default, which was released by the company last month. In addition to this the Claude AI app is 4.12MB in size.
The AI firm had announced the launch of the Android app through a post on X (formerly known as Twitter). However unlike the iOS app release, Anthropic did not specify if the launch was a global release or would only be available in selected regions. According to Gadgets 360, it was able to access the Claude AI app through the Play Store.

Further rumours suggest that by introducing Claude AI free for all, Anthropic aims to give a competition to OpenAI’s ChatGPT. But, how can Claude AI make a difference in comparison to the benefits of ChatGPT? Given below is the comparison of the two AI chatbot models:
With ChatGPT-4 and GPT-4o, you can create images within text chats and refine them through natural language dialogues. In addition to this GPT-4 also supports voice interactions. This feature allows you to speak with the model just like human interactions. While using the AI voice assistants ( both GPT-4 and GPT-4o) in case of any queries, you will be redirected to the website links where you can get detailed information on your query.
On the other hand, Claude lacks ChatGPT’s extensive multimodal capabilities. Claude has sufficient vision capabilities to analyze uploaded files, including images and PDFs. However, it does not support image generation, voice interaction or web browsing.
Furthermore, the company claims that the latest model of Caude AI can run twice as fast as the Claude 3 Opus model. Further, it can also independently write, edit and execute code. This can eventually make the work of coders easy, where coding is something that seems to be a hard task.
