Post the virality of the Nano Banana tool, Google’s Gemini is gearing up to release a new feature for its users. Called the Presentation Creation feature, it allows users to generate presentations via Google’s Gemini Canvas tool using prompts or text documents. With this feature, Google is providing people one more reason to integrate Gemini into their workflows.

Additionally, Google will be at par with its competitors like ChatGPT and Perplexity in offering this feature.

What is the Presentation Generation Feature?

The presentation generation feature in Google’s Gemini Canvas uses AI to instantly create slides. Individuals can upload a document, like a PDF or Google Doc, or simply provide a text prompt. Gemini will automatically structure, theme, and add visuals to a complete presentation.

After the feature has been rolled out, users can upload a file, like a research paper or any other document, and ask the chatbot to create a presentation from it. Additionally, users will also have the option of creating a presentation using basic text prompts. One can build structured, slide presentations that are ready to use using the model. The new feature is currently being rolled out to Pro users and will be available to use for all users in the coming weeks.

When can you make PPTs on Gemini?

The pricing for the presentation generation feature in Gemini Canvas is integrated to the Gemini subscription. The feature is being rolled out first to users with a Gemini Advanced subscription (part of the Google One AI Premium plan). However, reports indicate the feature will be available to all free users of Gemini Canvas in the “coming weeks,” though the free version will likely use the less powerful Gemini models.

Google’s Gemini model has gained a lot of users and attention due to the social media trend of generating 3D figures and portraits using the model’s image generation tool Nano Banana. Google Gemini quickly banked on this trend and beat its competitors by also offering its Google Pro Subscription to college students for free.

Nano Banana is the AI image generation tool launched by Google recently just a few months back. The tool uses Flash image model 2.5 to generate images. Individuals have been using the model for generating all kinds of images, like 3D figures and models of themselves, images in sarees, and images with Bollywood celebrities.
