Kapil Sharma is one of India’s most loved comedians of the entertainment industry. Known for his relatable humour, he has been making people laugh for years. Born on April 2, 1981, in Amritsar, Kapil’s journey from a small-town boy to a national comedy star is nothing less than inspiring. Even as a four-year-old, he wasn’t afraid of the spotlight. At family weddings, he would grab the microphone, sing, and crack jokes, his mother revealed in one of the media interactions with Hindustan Times.

But Kapil’s path wasn’t easy. He was rejected at the Amritsar audition of The Great Indian Laughter Challenge, but he didn’t give up. When he reached the Delhi round, he finally got his break, and the rest, as they say, is history. His father, who worked with the Punjab police, passed away in 2004 after battling cancer. From living in police quarters to now owning a plush apartment in Mumbai and a luxurious farmhouse in Punjab, Kapil’s journey shows ‘if there is a will, there is a way.’

Kapil Sharma’s Mumbai Home: Shantivan

Kapil’s Mumbai residence is located in DLF Enclave, Andheri West, one of the city’s most premium neighbourhoods. Situated on the 9th floor, the apartment is named Shantivan and carries the number 333. He lives with his wife, Ginni Chatrath, their two children, and his mother. Being close to film studios and entertainment hubs, the location is perfect for someone like Kapil.

As per Pinkvilla, Kapil purchased the apartment in 2012 for Rs 8 crore, and today its estimated value is over Rs 15 crore.

Elegant chandeliers to book shelf: How the comedian’s living room looks like

The living room shows Kapil’s sense of style. Painted in a combination of white and grey, the space feels bright, airy, and welcoming. Elegant chandeliers hang from the ceiling, with the wooden floors and plush grey-and-white furniture. A large sofa set sits on a grey carpet, while a uniquely designed bookshelf adds charm to the room.

A corner filled with children’s toys shows that Kapil prioritises family comfort alongside luxury. Glass walls open onto a lush lawn, allowing indoor and outdoor spaces to blend.

The lavish dining room perfect for family bonding

The dining area is just as impressive. Rustic wooden floors pair with metallic-coloured furniture, and large planters bring greenery indoors. The area feels spacious and lavish, perfect for family meals or entertaining guests.

Balcony: The quiet corner to relax and unwind

Kapil’s balcony offers panoramic views of Mumbai’s skyline. Adorned with plants, it creates a perfect spot in the middle of the bustling city, a perfect place to relax, unwind, and spend quality time with family.

Candle stands to artefacts: A balance between luxury and comfort

Every corner of Kapil’s home has a story. Regal candle stands, contrasting vases, and silver high-back chairs add a royal touch, while modern artefacts and fixtures maintain a contemporary vibe. The interiors strike a fine balance between luxury, comfort, and personality, reflecting Kapil’s taste and lifestyle.

Kapil last appeared on The Great Indian Kapil Show, as a host, whose third season premiered on Netflix on June 21, 2025. The show hosted top actors, famous cricketers, and even an international rapper, which continues to win hearts across generations.
