Lionel Messi: Celebrity Argentinian footballer, Lionel Messi, has officially started his three-day India GOAT Tour. Arriving in Kerala today, he is all set for a power-packed itinerary, common for stars like him. Travelling across five cities, Messi will also visit Kolkata, New Delhi, Mumbai, and Hyderabad. This marks his second visit to India as he is set to unveil a huge statue, meet Bollywood stars, and greet fans.

Looking back at his old interview with TN30, Messi revealed some details about his private life – unusual for his generally private demeanour. Giving a sneak peek into his bizarre breakfast routine, it is more about preparing for it than what he eats. His wife and children take their breakfast seriously, almost like a ritual they must follow with Messi.

Messi’s breakfast habit

In the rare media interaction, Messi revealed that before calling it a day, he ensures to lay the table for his family, for breakfast the next morning. He shared, “I leave the entire table ready for the next day. Everyone has breakfast in their own place, but we always sit in one place. Everyone has their place at the table: children, Antonela, and me.”

Messi’s diet, however, is a bit unconventional too. The Argentinian sports superstar revealed that he simply cannot resist sweet treats. A true fan of confectionery, Messi shared, “I am very simple when it comes to food: asado, Milanese, pasta, chocolate, dulce de leche, ice cream. I like everything sweet, I’m in love with it. I try to eat little, but from time to time, I want what I like,” he told TN30. Similarly, for drinks, he prefers a traditional South American tea, mate, – popular among several footballers, though. However, Messi has stopped drinking sweet mate, instead chooses the bitter version.

A Messi house rule

After being in kicks all day, Messi prefers his home to be a personal space where he can remain barefoot. Based on a will, the Inter Miami star prefers to spend his time at home without shoes. While walking barefoot is not a house rule, he shared, “It’s about coming home and immediately taking off the shoes, either at my home or at someone’s I trust.”
