Instagram influencer Apoorva Mukhija, popularly known as The Rebel Kid, recently revealed in a vlog the complete makeover she underwent, and also how much it cost her, only to realise that the transformation barely made a difference to how she looks.
Apoorva Mukhija’s look transformation
The content creator, who was last seen in Amazon’s Prime’s reality show The Traitors, posted an 11-minute video on her YouTube channel, titled I Am a Different Person Now. Mukhija started the video saying, “I started introspecting about why people didn’t like me. I realised it’s not me, it’s God’s fault. God gave me the attitude of Aishwarya Rai, but for a face, he gave me this. I realised had I been a little hotter then, I would have got away with everything, including what I said on Latent.”
“Log mujhe pyaar se kuch nahi bulate hai, kyunki log mujhe pyaar se bulate hi nahi ha,” she added. Explaining the motivation for her glow-up, she added, “Kyunki bhagwan ne mujhe attitude toh Aishwarya Rai wala diya par shakal ye diya hai. Isliye today I have decided to change myself physically.”
The first stop on the makeover journey – a salon, to get her hair coloured. “Maine sir ko bola hai ki aap mere baal bleach nahi kar sakte, kyunki mere sar par chaar hi baal bache hai. Aur agar yeh bhi jhad gaye toh mujhe hair transplant karwana padega,” she remarked. She was joined by fellow influencer Anmol Bhatia during her hair appointment. After her hair colouring session, she went for a pedicure.
Next stop, teeth transformation. “Now I’m going to get my teeth fixed. These are not my real teeth. I have got veneers. The day I got done temporary veneers, it was everywhere on Reddit—‘Has Apoorva got veneers?’” she said.
The last stop on her makeover tour was a dermatologist appointment, where she took IV drips and had a medical check-up.
How much The Rebel Kid spent on her transformation
Towards the end of the vlog, Apoorva candidly mentioned, “I spent close to Rs 3 lakh, and more in a lot of things in collaboration, and this is what I finally look like now. I honestly look the same. Whatever little difference there is is because of the makeup. Nothing really changed even after spending Rs 3 lakh, except for my teeth, which you all seem to hate…”
