Lakshmi Puja 2025 Date and Time
According to Drik Panchang, Lakshmi Puja should ideally be performed during the Pradosh Kaal, which begins after sunset and lasts for around 2 hours and 24 minutes. This period is considered the most auspicious for worshipping Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha together.
As per Drik Panchang, the Lakshmi Puja Muhurat on October 20, 2025, will begin at 7:08 pm and end at 8:18 pm, giving devotees a duration of about 1 hour and 11 minutes to perform the rituals. The Pradosh Kaal, considered the most auspicious time for the puja, will last from 5:46 pm to 8:18 pm, while the Vrishabha Kaal will be observed between 7:08 pm and 9:03 pm. The Amavasya Tithi, which marks the new moon and the day of Diwali, will begin at 3:44 pm on October 20 and end at 5:54 pm on October 21, 2025.

Rituals for Lakshmi Puja
The preparation for Lakshmi Puja begins from the morning with cleansing and decoration. After every nook and corner of the house including puja area is cleaned, the idols of Goddess Lakshmi and Ganesha are kept. The puja space is decorated with rangoli, diyas to welcome goddess Lakshmi. Coins, jewellery and other items representing wealth are also kept. The idols are adorned with garlands of marigold and hibiscus.
After lighting diya, the entire family gathers to chant Lakshmi Puja mantra and aarti. After the conclusion of the aarti, diyas are lit in every corner of the home and prasad is distributed.
