Rajasthan has long been the go-to destination for Bollywood’s biggest names, drawing celebrities with its grand palaces and regal charm. From Priyanka Chopra’s fairytale wedding to Salman Khan’s extravagant birthday celebrations, the desert state continues to be the preferred backdrop for star-studded events.
“Rajasthan is home to grand forts, palaces, and havelis, attracting both domestic and international tourists. Jaipur, Udaipur, Jodhpur, and Jaisalmer are major tourist hubs. Furthermore, better roadways, rail, and air connectivity (new airports, express highways) have enhanced accessibility,” Ashish Chaudhary, a hospitality management expert told the Financial Express.
Chaudhary, who also runs the Vijayran Resorts, said that with increasing domestic and foreign investments, Rajasthan is poised to become the tourism capital of India. “Rajasthan has become a preferred destination for corporate retreats, conferences, and business summits, especially in Jaipur and Udaipur. Unique experiences like rural tourism, camel safaris, and folk music festivals are attracting experiential travelers,” he said.
Located in Jaipur, Vijayran Resorts has also hosted many stars, including Ravi Kishan, Honey Singh, Rannvijay Singha and B Praak. Speaking about this, Ashish added, “We take immense pride in offering world-class hospitality. Our team ensures that every guest, whether a traveler or a celebrity, receives a good experience. Nestled amidst Rajasthan’s royal splendor, the resort offers guests an immersive experience of heritage, comfort and hospitality.”
According to the Market intelligence platform Statista, in 2022, Rajasthan welcomed approximately 108 million domestic tourists, accounting for about 6.26 per cent of India’s total domestic tourist visits. The state received around 400,000 foreign tourists in 2022, representing about 4.62 per cent of India’s total foreign tourist arrivals
