Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda chaired an important high-level meeting on Friday to talk about reaching targeted health goals in the first 100 days since the new government started. During the meeting, Nadda reviewed the Ministry’s operations and emphasized enhancing the quality of healthcare facilities and systems.

He highlighted the importance of expanding health coverage under the AB PMJAY and using technology effectively in immunization and health emergency response management.

The Minister also expressed concern over the rising incidence of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) and stressed the need to promote awareness about healthy diets and lifestyles.

Nadda underscored targeted campaigns aimed at youth for tobacco control and emphasized raising awareness about NCDs and the harmful effects of tobacco in both scientific and simple language for broader understanding.

The meeting was attended by Union Health Secretary Apurva Chandra, CEO of FSSAI G Kamala Vardhana Rao, CEO of NHA Deepti Gaur Mukherjee, and other senior officials from the Union Health Ministry.
