Akums Drugs & Pharmaceuticals Ltd. on Thursday announced that it has entered into an in-licensing agreement with Caregen Co., Ltd., a biotechnology player based in South Korea.

According to the company’s statement, this strategic alliance marks a significant step in introducing specialty nutraceuticals, Pharmaceuticals , differentiated topical and injectable cosmeceuticals—including advanced Skinceuticals and Hairceuticals—tailored to meet the unique needs of Indian consumers.

The collaboration brings together Caregen’s global expertise in peptides, growth factors, and advanced formulations with Akums’ manufacturing capabilities and expansive market reach. By uniting their strengths, the partnership aims to deliver science-backed, innovative solutions aligned with the rising consumer focus on health, beauty, and wellness in India, it stated.

According to the company, this agreement sets the stage for the launch of an array of innovative products, including topical solutions for skin and hair care, injectable products targeting deeper rejuvenation and repair, and premium nutraceuticals designed for holistic wellness. These offerings leverage Caregen’s proprietary peptide-based technologies and Akums’ ability to scale production and ensure quality, enabling the introduction of global-standard products to Indian markets.
