TAFE (Tractors and Farm Equipment), a leading manufacturers and exporter of tractors from India is betting big on alternate energy mix. The company recently launched its electric tractor and displayed a hydrogen tractor marking its debut at Agritechnica 2023, the world’s largest trade fair for the agriculture segment.
The tractor major aims to expand its presence in the European markets and wanted to showcase its products including electric compact tractors, advanced utility tractors with HVAC cabin, and next-gen modular smart farming solutions at the show.
The TAFE electric tractor produces 20 kW power, comes with highly efficient transmission, low noise powertrain and a powerful electric motor with efficiency of over 90%. It can be fast-charged and is fully compatible with European Combined Charging System – CCS2. The e-tractor can be ideally used by municipalities, logistics and material handling businesses, besides agriculture.
The company also showcased the Euro Stage 5 Compliant TAFE 7515 which produces 74 hp and comes with a 3-cylinder engine. It is designed for optimal comfort and productivity and is equipped with a 12-speed Synchromesh Mechanical Shuttle transmission. The tractor can be paired with variety of implements like the seed drills, rotary tillers, sprayers, spreaders, loading wagons and trailers.
At its booth, the Euro 5 compliant TAFE compact tractor range featuring TAFE 6028 M (24 hp), TAFE 6028 H (24 hp) and TAFE 6020 M (18 hp), blending bold aesthetics with versatility were displayed. These tractors are adept in both farming and industrial tasks, marked by adjustable speeds and enhances operational effectiveness. Their affordability and low maintenance make them an appealing value proposition to hobby farmers and municipalities, besides agriculture. It is ideal for applications like the front loader and snow plough.
