IOCL Q3 Results Live Updates: Motilal Oswal on Q3 performance

An analysis report by Motilal Oswal said, “IOCL’s reported Q3FY25 financial performance was below our expectations, mainly led by a weak reported refining margin. Inventory losses stood at USD3.7/bbl (INR52b) in Q3. However, the marketing segment reported an in-line performance during the quarter. PAT was dragged by forex losses amounting to Rs 20.5b in Q3. On a sequential basis, LPG prices have remained stable, and under-recoveries should start tapering off from Q1FY26 onwards. Further, SG GRM has remained weak in Q4’td, and marketing margins at ~Rs 9/Rs 5 per lit for MS/HSD remain robust and above our assumption (of Rs 3.3/lit).”

Federal Bank Q3 Results Live Updates: Elara Securities on Q3 performance

Elara Securities said, “Federal Bank Q3FY25 earnings were below our estimates on higher credit cost (accelerated provisions) even as net interest income (NII) was broadly in line. The key highlight, however, was the bank’s change in strategy under the aegis of new management, which had an impact on business growth and credit provisions (tightened policy). The bank is undertaking the transition on both sides of the balance sheet (loan and deposit construction) while tightening provision policies. We believe this sort of transition usually takes time and may have near-term dislocation, even as it may lead to long-term gains. Sectoral headwinds on net interest margin (NIM) and various variables at play (on deposits & RBI rate move) will add to transition variabilities. We await clarity on the strategic outlay (likely in Q4), but the bank seems to be making the right moves. Near-term core performance could see variabilities, which have been a key focal point for investors.”

Hindustan Zinc Q3 Results Live Updates: Revenue in line, beat on EBITDA; focuses on CoP, says Motilal Oswal

Hindustan Zinc (HZ)’s revenue was Rs 86b (YoY/QoQ: +18%/+4%) vs. our estimate of Rs 82b. The growth was largely on account of higher zinc and silver prices and a strong dollar, marginally offset by lower metal volumes. In an analysis report, Motilal Oswal said, “The performance was largely in line with our estimates. The company continues to focus on improving production with tight cost control. We retain our earnings estimates and expect HZ to maintain its focus on profitability.”
