Honda Activa – a scooter that completely revolutionised the automatic scooter segment has recently entered its sixth generation. The scooter in its latest avatar which is called the Activa 6G has received a price hike of Rs 8000 compared to the outgoing Activa 5G. The sixth generation model has witnessed the biggest update yet for the Activa. The Honda Activa 6G gets better comfort and stability as it gets telescopic forks upfront along with a larer 12-inch wheel upfront. Also, the engine is now BS6complaint and this has resulted a marginal drop in power and torque outputs. The new Honda Activa 6G also gains multiple new features up its sleeve and these include silent start technology, multifunction switch and an engine kill switch as well. The new Honda Activa 6G is currently priced in India at Rs 64,464 for the base STD variant while the top end DLX trim costs Rs 65,964 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Honda Activa 6G Braking and Safety

Honda Activa 6G gets 130mm drum brakes at both ends and CBS is on offer as standard for better safety and a more effective braking. In terms of safety, the scooter now gets an all LED headlamp and the company now offers better convenience with the scooter with an engine kill switch and a multifunction switch that is located right next to the ignition.
Honda Activa 6G Mileage

Honda has not claimed any exact figure for the fuel efficiency of the Activa 6G. However, it has stated that the mileage is now 10 percent more compared to the previous 5G model. That said, in real world conditions, the scooter should now offer a fuel efficiency of close to 50 kmpl.
