  • Honda Dio Design and Build

    Honda Dio

Dio features a peppy styling which has been designed keeping the youth in mind. In its latest avatar, with dual colour combinations, the Dio is more attractive than ever before. It is well built and the fit-n-finish of parts and the overall build quality is of typical Honda standards. The design is what Honda calls the “Moto Scooter” as it highlights the sportier intent in the riding experience. Also, thanks to the underbone chassis the scooter remains stable at all operating speeds as well. Similar to Activa 3G, Dio comes with 12-inch front and 10-inch wheels, tubeless tyres, CBS and Spring-loaded suspension.

  • Honda Dio Riding Ergonomics

    Honda Dio

Dio puts the rider in an upright riding stance for a stress-free riding experience on a day-to-day basis. Ergonomics are comfortable with an easy reach to the handlebar and decent foot space on the floor board. The suspension at both ends is of spring loaded type providing an overall comfortable ride quality on various road surfaces. However, given the dynamic styling of the scooter, the intent is a little bit more towards fun oriented riding experience rather than all-out comfort.

  • Honda Dio Engine

    Honda Dio

Using the same 109.2cc engine as the one in Activa 3G, Dio produces 8 BHP of power at a slightly lower 8,000 RPM and 9 NM of torque at 4750 RPM. The HET technology further ensures one of the best fuel efficiency in its class along with decent performance. Bulletproof reliability and smoothness are added bonuses.

  • Honda Dio Transmission

    Honda Dio

Dio doesn’t have manual gears and clutch for the ease of riding. The gearless system is termed Variomatic and is simply operated by twisting the throttle. Since there is no clutch, the lever on the left side of the handlebar operates the rear brake while the one on the right side controls the front brake as usual.

  • Honda Dio Braking and Safety

Stopping power is provided by drum brakes, however, Dio comes with Combines Brake System which enables both front and rear brakes to function when only the rear brake is applied giving the vehicle more stability under braking. Also, both tyres are of tubeless variety making them more resistant to punctures as they do not deflate instantly in case a nail gets in. This increases the safety aspect further.

  • Honda Dio Mileage

Dio is capable of providing one of the fuel efficient rides in its class thanks to the HET technology. Real world mileage is well above 60 kmpl.
