Share Market News Today | Sensex, Nifty, Share Prices Highlights: Domestic indices ended Friday’s session in the green territory. The NSE Nifty 50 surged 149.95 points or 0.84% to 18,065 and BSE Sensex skyrocketed 463.06 points or 0.76% to 61,112.44. In sectoral indices, Bank Nifty jumped 233.05 points or 0.54% to 43,233.9 and Nifty IT advanced 352.95 points or 1.29% to 27,708.2. The top gainers on Nifty 50 were Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports, Nestle India, Wipro and Britannia while the losers were Axis Bank, Titan, ONGC, JSW Steel and Cipla.

Oil prices were little changed on Friday but are set for their second weekly drop as disappointing economic data from the U.S., the world’s biggest crude user, and uncertainty on further interest rate hikes raised concerns about future fuel demand. Brent crude futures for June were trading at $78.53 a barrel, up 16 cents, or 0.2%, as of 0156 GMT. That contract expires on Friday and the more active July contract was up 21 cents, or 0.3% at 78.43 a barrel. U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude was up 23 cents, or 0.3%, at $74.99 a barrel.
Nifty first support at 17830 and then 17746 while resistance at 17959 and 18004, according to Rahul Sharma, JM Financial.
The US market ended the overnight session broadly higher– Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) jumped 1.57%, S&P 500 surged 1.96% and the tech-heavy Nasdaq skyrocketed 2.43%.
Asian markets were trading in green with South Korea’s KOSPI rising 0.81%, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng jumping 1.18%, Japan’s Nikkei 225 surging 0.71% and China’s Shanghai Composite Index soaring 0.68%.
