According to a statement on the IISc official website (gate2024.iisc.ac.in), the net total marks for certain candidates may result in a negative value. This occurs due to the equation used to convert obtained marks into GATE score, which incorporates various parameters related to the results. Therefore, it is conceivable that some candidates may receive a negative GATE score despite having positive marks.
Scorecards will be issued exclusively to candidates who achieve marks equal to or higher than the qualifying marks specified for the SC, ST, or PwD categories in their respective papers for GATE 2024. Candidates who do not meet these criteria will not receive a GATE 2024 scorecard.
All participating institutes will require a COAP registration number on their MTech application portals for admissions. Candidates applying for admission to an MTech program at any participating academic institute will receive admission offers exclusively through COAP.
To review and make a decision on the most preferred offer, if any, from the participating institute(s), each candidate must register and visit COAP. Without registering on COAP, candidates will not be able to access the offers provided on the platform.
The link to access the GATE 2024 scorecard will remain accessible for free on the gate2024.iisc.ac.in website until May 31. Starting from June 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024, the GATE 2024 scorecard can be obtained from the GATE application portal for a fee of Rs 500.
