Hindalco Industries
Hindalco Industries reported a 60% year-on-year rise in its net profit during the October-December quarter, at Rs 3,735 crore, beating Bloomberg consensus estimate of Rs 3,372 crore. The aluminium and copper major also exceeded revenue expectations, posting Rs 58,390 crore, up 11%, ahead of the estimated Rs 55,632 crore.
HAL
Saab, a global defence company, signed an agreement with Hindustan Aeronautics for a laser warning system. The agreement builds on a “strong partnership between Saab in South Africa and HAL” that began in 2005 during the development of the Advanced Light Helicopter programme.
HUL
Unilever will accelerate its investment in India as it seeks to augment its presence in the premium segment, CEO Hein Schumacher said in an investor call on Thursday. The company will also make ‘significant interventions’ in Lux and Lifebuoy in India this year (CY25), which analysts are interpreting as a relaunch of the brands to shore up performance.

Religare Enterprises announced that Rashmi Saluja is no longer the company’s director. Muthoot Finance
Muthoot Finance’s Q3FY25 net profit rose 33% to Rs 1,363 crore, driven by strong demand for gold loans. There was a surge in demand for gold loans, particularly during the festive season. This was largely due to lenders slowing down on personal loans and microfinance disbursals. However, people still needed funds for consumption and other expenses, leaving gold loans as the next best option — which is exactly what happened, said managing director George Alexander Muthoot.
IFCI
Several ministries, as well as firms, have blamed IFCI Ltd, the project management agency (PMA) for 10 production-linked incentive (PLI) schemes for the “snail’s pace” in the release of incentives, and putting avoidable roadblocks on the smooth implementation of the schemes across many sectors. Companies have invested over Rs 1.5 lakh crore in the three years through September 2024 under the 14 PLIs, or about 50% of the Rs 3 lakh crore committed over five years. But only Rs 11,317 crore or 6% of Rs 1.95 lakh crore incentives linked to investments, sales/turnover and value addition, have been disbursed till September 2024.
Mahangar Gas
Mahangar Gas (MGL) is looking at a significant expansion in its CNG infrastructure while also looking to acquire ReNew’s existing renewable energy assets to develop its green portfolio, the company’s managing director Ashu Shinghal told FE. Additionally, the company plans to spend Rs 1,000 crore in the upcoming fiscal year 2025-26 as capex compared with Rs 800 crore in the current fiscal year.
United Breweries
United Breweries announced a 55% YoY decline in net profit for the Q3 FY25. It was Rs 38.3 crore, down from Rs 84.9 crore in the same period last year. The profit drop was partly due to an exceptional loss of Rs 25.8 crore. Revenue rose 9.6% YoY to Rs 1,998.4 crore, up from Rs 1,822.7 crore.
Godfrey Phillips
Godfrey Phillips India reported a 48.7% YoY jump in net profit at Rs 315.9 crore for the third quarter that ended December 31, 2024. The company posted a net profit of Rs 212.4 crore in Q3 FY24. The company’s revenue from operations surged 27.3% to Rs 1,591.2 crore as against Rs 1,249.6 crore in the corresponding period of the preceding fiscal.
Nazara Technologies
Nazara Technologies reported a 53.6% fall in consolidated net profit standing at Rs 13.68 crore for the October-December quarter of FY25. It had posted a profit of Rs 29.52 crore in the year-ago period. Revenue from operations for Q3 FY25 was Rs 534.7 crore, a 66.8% climb, from Rs 320.4 crore in Q3 FY24.
