Indian stock markets ended higher on November 10, extending their positive momentum. The Sensex gained 0.38% to close at 83,535.35, while the Nifty 50 rose 0.32% to settle at 25,574.35.

Asian Markets
Asia-Pacific markets traded higher on Tuesday. Japan’s Nikkei 225 gained 0.91%, while the Topix index advanced 0.52%. South Korea’s Kospi climbed 1.94%, and Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 added 0.25%.
US market
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 381.53 points, or 0.81%, to close at 47,368.63. The S&P 500 gained 1.54% to end at 6,832.43. The Nasdaq Composite advanced 2.27% to finish at 23,527.17.
US dollar
The US Dollar Index (DXY), which measures the dollar’s value against a basket of six foreign currencies, was 0.10% up at 99.72 on Monday morning. The index evaluates the strength or weakness of the US dollar in comparison to major currencies. The basket contains currencies such as the British Pound, Euro, Swedish Krona, Japanese Yen, Swiss Franc, etc. The rupee appreciated 0.02%, closed at 88.69 to the dollar on November 10.
Crude Oil
Crude oil prices crude oil pricesslipped in early Tuesday trade. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) fell 0.33% to $59.93 per barrel, while Brent crude declined 0.34% to $63.84 per barrel.
FII, DII data
Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) were net sellers of Indian equities worth Rs 4,115 crore on Monday, November 10, according to provisional exchange data. In contrast, Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) were net buyers, purchasing shares worth Rs 5,805 crore during the session.
Gold rate today
In the latest on the yellow metal, the gold rate in Dubai, 24-carat gold was priced at AED 493.25 per gram, while 22-carat traded at AED 456.50 per gram and 18-carat at AED 373.50 per gram.
As per Goodreturns, in India, the 24-carat gold rate today is Rs 1,23,830/10 gm, while 22-carat gold costs Rs 1,13,510/10 gm. For those preferring 18-carat gold, the price is Rs 92,880 for the same weight.
Top sectors in the last trading session
Sectors such as electronics, sugar, glass, and non-ferrous metals saw notable gains in the last trading session. The electronics sector rose by 3.19%, followed closely by the sugar sector, which gained 3.09%. The glass sector was up 1.85%, while non-ferrous metal stocks advanced 1.8% during the session.
Best and worst performing business group
Among business groups, the Torrent Group led the gains with a 5.2% rise in market capitalisation, followed by the Muthoot Group, which added 3.07%. The Anil Ambani Group also moved higher with a 2.95% gain. On the downside, the Williamson Magor Group slipped 3.57%, the Nagarjuna Group declined 3.85%, while the Pennar Group saw a sharp drop of 15.83%.
