EV maker Odysse Electric has registered sales of 282 units in January 2025. Commenting on sales, Nemin Vora, CEO, Odysse Electric Vehicles stated, “We are encouraged by the continued positive momentum in January 2025, despite seasonal fluctuations in demand. The electric two-wheeler market in India is gaining significant traction due to increasing environmental consciousness, favorable government policies, and advancements in EV technology. Hero MotoCorp has registered sales of 4,42,873 units in January 2025. The company dispatched 4,12,378 units in the domestic market, while its global business maintained strong momentum with 30,495 units —achieving a robust 141% growth over the corresponding period last year (January 2024). This growth was driven by strong demand in key global markets, including Bangladesh and Colombia. Hero MotoCorp’s electric vehicle brand – VIDA, dispatched 6,669 units of the newly launched VIDA V2 electric scooter.

Suzuki registered total sales of 1,08,921 units in January 2025, resulting in a double-digit growth of 14% compared to 95,762 units sold in January 2024. Its domestic sales stood at 87,834 units, reflecting a 9% increase over 80,511 units sold in the same month last year. Its exports saw a strong 38% growth, reaching 21,087 units, as compared to 15,251 units sold overseas in January 2024. With the close of January 2025, SMIPL has achieved cumulative sales of 10,40,025 units in FY 2024-25 so far, surpassing its annual production capacity of 10 lakh units.

EV sales registered a growth of 55% with sales increasing from 16,276 units in January 2024 to 25,195 units in January 2025.

In January, Tata’s CV business registered total sales of 31,988 units as compared to 32,092 units sold during the same time last year. Amongst CVs, the Passenger Carrier segment saw the most growth while the SCV cargo and pickup segment saw the highest decline — negative 15 percent. Tata’s domestic sales in the CV segment also witnessed a 2 percent decline in sales.
