Z900 is an all-new streetfighter from Kawasaki sporting a 948cc inline 4 engine which is liquid-cooled, has a DOHC design and 4-valve per cylinder. The motorcycle replaces the Z800 in most markets. The engine produces 125 PS of power and 98.6 NM of torque. The styling is all-new and the Z900 is more compact and shorter than the Z800. In fact, it has lost 21 kg thanks to the new chassis and suspension components. Also, front forks are adjustable for preload, rebound and compression while the rear monoshock is adjustable for preload and rebound. The ABS is standard and the motorcycle now sports an Assist-Slipper clutch for better performance under heavy downshifting.

Kawasaki Z900 Braking and Safety

Z900 is equipped with dual 300mm discs at the front with 4-piston caliper while the rear makes do with a single 250mm one with a single-piston caliper. There’s good bite and feedback from the rotors while the inclusion of ABS further improves the overall braking performance. Tubeless tyres also add their own safety as they do not deflate instantly in case of a puncture.
