  • Kawasaki Z1000 Design and Build

    Kawasaki Z1000

Z1000 has been designed on the "Sugomi" concept which conveys that a predator is ready to pounce on its prey. The Z1000 indeed looks like a panther with its headlight assembly so low. It is very compact and small in size and holds LED bulbs for headlight. The fuel tank is substantial and gives the motorcycle its bulk which nicely complements the ultra compact headlight and the tail section. Seats are split-type as well. The build quality is fantastic and it is one of the most muscular looking motorcycles around especially with its two-sided double exhausts.

  • Kawasaki Z1000 Riding Ergonomics

    Kawasaki Z1000

The rider sits upright in a comfortable position holding a flat and wide handlebar which also leads to a commanding riding stance. The foot-pegs are rear-set for an overall sportier ergonomic. The suspension also offers a wide range of adjustability giving riders the freedom to set it up as per their liking.

  • Kawasaki Z1000 Engine

    Kawasaki Z1000

Z1000 is powered by the 1043cc inline 4 liquid-cooled DOHC 16-valve engine which produces 142 PS of power at 10,000 RPM and 111 NM of torque at 7,300 RPM resulting in brisk acceleration across the entire rev-range. While the power figures are far from the top of the class, it does make power quite rider-friendly and linear in nature making it a good choice for a wide variety of riders.

  • Kawasaki Z1000 Transmission

    Kawasaki Z1000

Z1000 comes with a 6-speed manual transmission offering slick gear shifts with good feedback and feel from the pedal. Also, with the addition of the Assist & Slipper clutch the whole operation is even better as the clutch pull is light and the slipper mechanism also prevents the rear wheel from getting unstable during quick shifting.

  • Kawasaki Z1000 Braking and Safety

Z1000 is equipped with petal-type dual 310mm discs at the front with 4-piston caliper and a single 250mm single disc with a single-piston caliper. ABS comes standard and the whole system provides satisfying braking performance under different riding conditions.

  • Kawasaki Z1000 Mileage

With a 17 litres fuel tank, an overall range of around 300 km can be expected which is not bad considering the overall performance.
