  • Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R Design and Build

    Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R

ZX-10R is Kawasaki's quickest and the fastest Superbike on the planet. The styling is a nice mix of compact dimensions and bulkiness that give the motorcycle a fantastic road presence. The front end has a typical Ninja-style twin headlight setup which is low and narrow for excellent aerodynamic ability and still providing good wind protection. The tail section is thin and sharp in a typical Superbike fashion. This also gets a single side-mounted exhaust for compactness and low centre of gravity. The fit-n-finish is one of the best in business and the motorcycle looks absolutely breathtaking in the black/green colour combination.

  • Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R Riding Ergonomics

    Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R

Any Superbike demands that a rider sits in a proper committed riding position with the upper body leaned forward holding the low and narrow clip-on handlebar while the feet rest on high and rear-set foot-pegs. It is not known for comfort and the major intention of such a riding stance is to maintain the aerodynamic design of the motorcycle. However, today's Superbikes are designed in such a manner that the pegs-handlebar-seat ratio strikes a fine balance between sport and comfort.

  • Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R Engine

    Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R

ZX-10R is powered by a 998cc inline 4 liquid-cooled DOHC 4-valve per cylinder engine and it produces astonishing figures of 200 PS of power (210 PS with RAM air) at 13,000 RPM and 113.5 NM of torque at 11,500 RPM making it one of the most powerful Superbikes in the world. These numbers, combined with the kerb weight of 204 kg, leads to lightning quick acceleration and a top speed which electronically limited to under 300 kph. There are also full and low power modes that can be used depending on the riding condition (low power mode restricts the power up to 75-80% with a milder throttle response).

  • Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R Transmission

    Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R

ZX-10R is equipped with one of the most advanced 6-speed manual transmission to extract all the juice available from the engine. The quick shifter is standard as well enabling gear changes a seamless activity without needing to let go of the throttle.

  • Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R Braking and Safety

ZX-10R comes with one of the most ferocious braking packages which is very similar to the one on Kawasaki's own Ninja H2R. The front wheel gets dual 330mm discs with radial mounted monobloc 4-piston caliper while the rear wheel gets a single 220mm disc with aluminium-based single-piston caliper.

  • Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R Mileage

ZX-10R gets a generous 17 litres fuel tank which is nice for a Superbike which isn't intended for long distance riding first and foremost. However, a range of around 250 km can be expected from one full tank.
