Auto sales in July remain flat on subdued demand
In July, India's passenger vehicle segment experienced a 1% growth after two months of decline. Seven top car brands sold 329,113 units, but four of the top five manufacturers saw a decline or no growth. Maruti Suzuki had its worst domestic sales in June but rebounded in July, while Mahindra & Mahindra saw a 20% increase in sales, defying the market trend. Hyundai also reported a decline in sales.
