December 2024 auto sales live: Here are the sales figures of Hyundai, Mahindra, Honda, and more

Ninety One Cycles has crossed a milestone of selling 3 million bicycles including selling 4,40,000 units in the calendar year 2024. The company witnessed sales growth of 100% in markets like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Chattisgarh, Orissa and Jharkhand. Riding on this growing demand, the company has plans to foray into the growing Electric Vehicle (EV) segment with low-speed electric two-wheelers.

Mahindra‘s Farm Equipment segment has seen a 20 percent overall growth in December 2024, having registered sales of 22943 units compared to 19,138 units sold in December 2023. Its domestic sales stood at 22,019 units with a 22 percent growth while its exports accounted for 924 units, a decline of 17 percent.

During the third quarter of the current financial year, two-wheelers posted a robust growth of 11 percent with sales of 11.8 lakh units as against sales of 10.6 lakh units in the third quarter of FY 23-24. Three-wheelers accounted for 0.29 lakh units in the third quarter of the current year as against 0.38 lakh units in the third quarter of FY 23-24. Two-wheeler sales include EV sales of 0.76 lakh units in the third quarter of FY 24-25 as against 0.48 lakh units in the third quarter of FY 23-24 with a growth of 57 percent.

Luxury German carmaker Audi, has registered sales of 5,816 units in 2024. Speaking about the sales performance, Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head of Audi India said, “The first half of 2024 brought supply-related challenges for Audi India, yet the continued demand for our products reflects the enduring trust our customers place in the brand. With improved supplies in the second half of 2024, our volumes improved by 36% in quarter four compared to quarter three of 2024.”

He added, “This year also marked a major milestone of 1,00,000 cars sold in India. With the introduction of the new Audi Q8 and new Audi Q7, along with a robust portfolio, we are finishing the year strongly in quarter four and anticipate sales to grow hereon. We remain optimistic about the long-term potential of the Indian luxury car market and are committed to delivering exceptional experiences to our customers.”

Suzuki has been posting strong growth results in 2024 and the momentum continues in December 2024. Suzuki sold 96,804 units last month, compared to 79,483 units sold in December 2023. Suzuki’s domestic two-wheeler sales accounted for 78,834 units with a 14 percent growth, while its exports saw 72 percent growth, registering 17,970 units.

Royal Enfield has cemented itself as a strong brand in India and is looking to do the same globally. In December 2024, Royal Enfield saw overall sales of 79,466 units, a YoY growth of 25 percent. The company’s domestic sales stood at 67,891 units – a growth of 19 percent – while its exports accounted for 11,575 units, a massive 90 percent YoY growth compared to December 2023.

Maruti Suzuki, India‘s largest carmaker by volume, has registered domestic passenger vehicle sales of 1,30,117 units in December 2024, a growth of 24 percent compared to December 2023 when the carmaker sold 1,04,778 units. Maruti Suzuki has seen a growth in all the segments – mini, compact, utility vehicles, and vans – apart from the mid-size sedan segment.

Month-after-month, Mahindra has been posting strong SUV sales in India and in December 2024, the carmaker recorded sales of 41,424 units in the domestic market, registering a YoY growth of 18 percent. In comparison, Mahindra sold 35,171 SUVs in December 2023.

Bajaj is a strong player when it comes to exports and is also the leading two-wheeler exporter, thanks to brands such as Triumph and KTM under its umbrella, and also the Pulsar range. In December 2024, Bajaj exported 1,43,838 units compared to exporting 1,24,631 units in December 2023, witnessing a YoY growth of 15 percent.

MG has recorded sales of 7,516 units in December 2024, witnessing a YoY growth of 55 percent as compared to selling 4,400 units during the same time last year. MG’s newest offering, the Windsor, has seen strong sales, selling over 10,000 units in the last three months, making it the highest-selling passenger electric vehicle.
