Auto Sales November 2024 Live Updates: Eleven months of 2024 are now over and we are now at the cusp of another calendar year. Every year, November turns out to be a critical phase for auto manufacturers in India since it is the last month of the festive season. Automakers are usually pleased during this period since people continue to throng showrooms boosting sales numbers.

However this year, concerns have been raised about the low number of vehicles being registered under Vahan which means high inventories in dealerships. Will this make an effect on the volume dispatched from the factory floor to dealerships. So far, we have sen Hero MotoCorp and Bajaj, see a decline in YoY sales, while TVS and Royal Enfield have had positive growth. Mahindra has also seen strong SUV sales in November 2024, while Honda’s sales have almost halved compared to November 2023.

TVS has registered 6 percent domestic growth. In November 2024, the company sold 3,05,323 units in the domestic market as compared to 2,87,017 units sold last year. Bajaj’s domestic commercial vehicle sales also saw a dip in November 2024. Last month, Bajaj’s domestic CV sales stood at 37,243 units, witnessing a 5 percent decrease in YoY sales, while its exports saw a positive growth of 10 percent, registering sales of 16,321 units.

November 2024 Auto Sales Live: Bajaj sees slump in domestic sales

Bajaj has reported a slump in domestic sales after along stretch of growth. In November 2024, Bajaj’s domestic two-wheeler sales accounted for 2,03,611 units as compared to 2,18,597 units sold a year ago during the same period. However, the Pune-based company saw a 26 percent growth in exports, registering sales of 1,64,465 units. November 2024 Auto Sales Live: Hero MotoCorp sales down 7%

Hero MotoCorp has witnesses a 7 percent decrease in domestic sales in November 2024, having sold 4,39,777 units as compared to 4,76,286 units sold last year during the same period. Hero’s total motorcycle sales accounted for 425,856 units, while scooter sales for the month of November 2024 stood at 33,949 units, both witnessing a decrease in sales.

November 2024 Auto Sales Live: Royal Enfield records 2% domestic growth

Royal Enfield has registered sales of 82,257 units in November 2024, a 2 percent YoY increase compared to November 2023. The company’s exports also saw a amssive 96 percent YoY growth, having shipped 10,021 motorcycles last month compared to 5,114 exports in November 2023.

November 2024 Auto Sales Live: Honda Cars India domestic sales decline

Honda Cars India dispatched a total of 10,726 units in November 2024. This comprised 5,005 units sold in the domestic market and 5,721 units exported to foreign markets. During the same period last year,Honda registered 8,730 units in domestic sales and 3,161 units exports, which has resulted in a YoY decline of 42.6 percent in domestic sales and a YoY increase of 81 percent.

The Japanese auto giant is currently gearing up to launch the new third generation Amaze in India slated for December 4. The upcoming compact sedan has already been spied on multiple occasions. It will go up againts the newly launched 4th gen Maruti Suzuki Dzire.

November 2024 Auto Sales Live: Tata Motors PV sales grow marginally

Tata Motors sold a total of 47,063 units of passenger vehicles in the domestic market last month. This figure includes EVs. In total, the homegrown carmaker sold 5202 units of EVs, both in the domestic market as well as exports, in November 2024 which led to a 9 percent YoY growth. Overall PV sales increased marginally by 2 percent.

November 2024 Auto Sales Live: Tata Motors records 74,753 units total sales

Tata Motors sales in the domestic and international market for November this year stood at 74,753 vehicles, compared to 74,172 units during November 2023. Total domestic sales for both passenger and commercial vehicle segments stood at 73,246 units. This includes trucks and buses, which stood at 12,481 units,compared to 12,303 units in November 2023.

November 2024 Auto Sales Live: Maruti Suzuki SUV sales increase

Sales of utility vehicles including SUVs, crossovers, and MPVs from Maruti Suzuki increased by almost 10,000 units from 49,016 units sold in November last year to 59,003 units in November this year, resulting in a YoY growth of 20.4 percent. The passenger car segment including hatchbacks and sedans declined from 74,916 units to 71,720 units resulting in a YoY decline of 4.6%.

Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) sold a total of 181,531 units in November 2024. This includes domestic sales of 144,238 units, sales to other OEM of 8,660 units, and exports of 28,633 units. During the corresponding period last year, Maruti dispatched a total of 164,439 units which included domestic sales of 136,667 units, sales to other OEM of 4,822 units, and exports of 22,950 units. This translates to YoY growths of 10.4 percent, 5.5 percent, 79.6 percent, and 24.7 percent, respectively.

November 2024 Auto Sales Live: SUVs contribute nearly 70% to Hyundai’s sales

Hyundai claims that the SUV segment contributed 68.8 percent of the total domestic sales. Also, 22.1 percent of the total domestic sales came from the hinterland and rural area of the country, which is the highest ever. Further the CNG space contributed 14.4 percent of the total domestic sales in November 2024. The total YTD sales (domestic + exports) for Hyundai stood at 7,09,041 units between Janaury and November 2024.

November 2024 Auto Sales Live: Hyundai sells 61,252 units

Hyundai India dispatched a total of 61,252 units in November 2024. Out of these, 48,246 units were sent to dealerships across the country whereas 13,006 units were exported to foreign markets. In November last year, the Indian arm of the Korean carmaker recorded a total dispatch of 65,801 units including domestic sales of 49,451 units and 16,350 units exported to various other markets. This led to an overall decline of 7 percent YoY to go with a 2.5 percent YoY decline in domestic sales and 20.4 percent YoY decline in exports.

November 2024 Auto Sales Live: Suzuki records 94,370 units sales

Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL), has announced its sales figures for November 2024. The two-wheeler arm of the Japanse auto giant dispatched a total of 94,370 units in November, resulting in a YoY growth of 8% compared to 87,096 units dispatched from the factory floors during the same month last year.

In the domestic market, Suzuki sold 78,333 units, translating to a 7% increase from 73,135 units in the same period last year. The company’s exports grew by 15% with 16,037 units sold in international markets, compared to 13,961 units exported in November 2023. Some of the popular models Suzuki India’s lineup include Access 125, Gixxer, and Gixxer SF.

November 2024 Auto Sales Live: Toyota records 44 percent growth

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has registered a monthly sales volume of 25,586 units in November 2024, resultiing in a 44 percent YoY growth. During the same period last year, the Japanese carmaker dispatched 17,818 units across the country. In addition, the company exported 1140 units to foreign markets.

Toyota also marked the prestigious 1 lakh production units for the Innova Hycross, two years since it was launched in India. In the first eight months of FY’24-‘25, TKM achieved a significant milestone, with total sales reaching 2,19,054 units, reflecting a 39% growth over the 1,63,636 units sold during the same period in FY’23-‘24.

November 2024 Auto Sales Live: MG Windsor EV demands grow

For the second consecutive month, the Windsor EV became the highest-selling vehicle for MG Motor with a volume of 3144 units sold. The previous month, MG sold 3,116 units units of Windsor. The compact electric crossover was launched in September this earlier and deliveries commenced the following month. It is priced starting at Rs 9.90 lakh (without battery) and Rs 13.50 lakh (with battery).

MG also claims that 70 percent of its total volume for November 2024 was accounted for by electric vehicles.

JSW MG Motor India has announced its monthly sales figures for November. The company dispatched 6019 units to its dealerships across the country during this period resulting in a 20 percent YoY growth. In November last year, MG Motor dispatched 4,154 units across the country.
