Tata Motors has launched a new range of facelift vehicles in the last two months starting from the Nexon and now both the Safari and the Harrier. The new normal nowadays is that after the launch of a new car, it is quickly followed by a long waiting period, but surprisingly that’s not the case with the 2023 Nexon. Last month, the Nexon and Punch sold 15,325 and 13,036 units respectively, which is a bump up from September 2022. Let’s take a look at the waiting period for the following Tata Motors vehicles.
Tata Nexon waiting period: Six to eight weeks
After launching the 2023 Nexon in petrol, diesel and electric, the Tata best-seller has received an overwhelming demand and the waiting period is anything from six weeks to eight months. The terms and conditions for the mentioned time period depend on the trim and colour options. Based on reports, the top offerings come with a waiting period of around two months, which is not too bad as the Nexon is in high demand and is one of the best-selling SUVs in its segment. The Nexon EV, on the other hand, has a waiting period of just over a month or within 40 days. The Nexon petrol is priced from Rs 8.10 lakh to Rs 14.70 lakh, the diesel from Rs 11 lakh to Rs 15.50 lakh and the EV starts from Rs 14.74 lakh and goes all the way to Rs 19.94 lakh, all ex-showroom. Â
Tata Punch waiting period: Four to twelve weeks
The demand for the Punch has been steadily increasing. Hence, compared to September 2022’s sales figures, the Punch sold 6 per cent more last month. The Punch is available in petrol and CNG options and doesn’t come in a diesel powertrain. The ICE version has a waiting period of four weeks but in the case of the CNG version, it shoots up to 12 weeks. This is the second month in a row that there have been no changes in the waiting period for the Punch in and around Mumbai. The petrol Punch starts from Rs 6 lakh to Rs 10.10 lakh while the CNG is from Rs 7.09 lakh to Rs 9.68 lakh, ex-showroom.
Tata Tiago waiting period: Four to eight weeks
The Tiago has seen a slight dip in numbers as it managed 6,789 units in September as compared to 6,936 units last year. Like the Punch, the most affordable Tata vehicle is available in both petrol and CNG. While the petrol only has a waiting period of around four weeks, the CNG variant has a long waiting period of 12 weeks in and around Mumbai. The petrol-powered Tiago is priced from Rs 5.60 lakh to Rs 7.80 lakh while the CNG range begins from Rs 6.55 lakh to Rs 8.20 lakh, ex-showroom.
