Tata Motors’ newest SUV, the Curvv, along with its all-electric variant, has achieved top ratings in the Bharat NCAP crash tests. This coupe SUV is the fifth vehicle from Tata Motors to receive a 5-star rating, following the Nexon, its EV version, the Punch EV, Harrier, and Safari. Both the Curvv ICE and the Curvv EV have earned 5 stars for Adult and Child Occupant Protection.

Tata Motors has scored a hattrick by receiving a 5-star safety rating for an EV after the Nexon EV, Punch EV and now the Curvv EV. The Curvv Empowered + A 55 variant was used for the test and it was awarded 30.81 points out of 32 for Adult Occupant Protection and 44.83 points out of 49 in Child Occupant Protection.

The EV coupe SUV was awarded 15.66 out of 16.00 points for the Frontal Offset Deformable Barrier Test and 15.15 out of 16.00 for the Side Movable Deformable Barrier Test. This means that the Curvv EV receives good and adequate in Adult Occupant Protection. In the Child Occupant Protection, the EV scored 23.82 out of 24.00 in Dynamic score and 12.00 out of 12.00 in CRS installation.
Tata Curvv ICE: 5-star safety Bharat NCAP rating
The Curvv Accomplished + A diesel manual variant internal combustion engine (ICE) scored a shade less than its EV sibling. The Curvv ICE scored 29.50 out of 32 points in the Adult Occupant Protection. In the Frontal Offset Deformable Barrier Test, it was awarded 14.65 out of 16.00 points and 14.85 out of 16.00 in the Side Movable Deformable Barrier Test.
When it comes to Child Occupant Protection, the Curvv ICE scored 43.66 out of 49, 22.66 out of 24.00 in Dynamic score and 12 out of 12 in 12.00 in CRS installation score.
