Share Market News Today | Sensex, Nifty, Share Prices Highlights: The benchmark equity indices closed the trading session on a bit lower note on October 01. The BSE Sensex fell 34 points or 0.04% to finish the day’s trading at 84,266. The NSE Nifty 50 declined 14 points or 0.05% to 25,797. The Bank Nifty closed the day’s trading 0.10% lower at 52,922. Outperforming the overall markets, the Nifty Midcap 100 closed the session 205 points or 0.34% higher at 60,358.
As September comes to an end, more than six companies are gearing up to raise approximately Rs 60,000 crore through their initial public offerings (IPOs) over the next 60 days. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced that September marked the busiest IPO month in fourteen years, and the momentum in the primary market continues. Major IPOs, including Hyundai Motor India, Swiggy, and NTPC Green Energy, are scheduled to debut on Dalal Street in October and November.
Commenting on the Technical outlook of Nifty Kunal Kamble, Sr. Technical Research Analyst at Bonanza, said that The banking index has witnessed the highest single day sell-off in the past month, with a negative bias. It is currently trading near its strong support zone of 52,600-52,500. A close below this level could trigger fresh short buildup. Compared to the Nifty index, the banking index appears weaker, and the rollover has not been favorable, contributing to its decline. If the index sustains above the 53,500 level, it could move upwards toward 54,000, followed by 54,500. However, if it trades below this level, long positions should be avoided.
“Bank Nifty finds immediate support at 52,750, with a stronger support level at 52,500. The overall trend appears sideways to slightly negative, indicating caution for traders. Selling pressure is expected at higher levels, especially near resistance zones, suggesting limited upside in the short term. Traders are advised to remain cautious and consider selling on rallies. Risk management with a focus on support levels is key to navigating today’s market,” said Riyank Arora Technical Analyst at Mehta equities.
The company has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Rajasthan Government to invest Rs 1.2 lakh crore in renewable energy projects. The initiative encompasses manufacturing, transmission, distribution, nuclear power, rooftop installations, and EV charging infrastructure.

The rate of 24-carat gold has risen by 1.28% in the last one week, and the yellow metal has risen by 1.75% in the last ten days. The silver is currently quoted at Rs 90,630 per kilogram.
The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite ended up by 69.58 points or 0.38% at 18,189.17 The S&P 500 ended higher by 24.31 points or 0.42% at 5,762.48, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average is trading down by 58.41 point or 0.14% at 42,271.74.
