The exteriors of the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso take inspiration from the Future S concept which was showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo. Up-front, it gets compact headlamps with halogen units. LED daytime running lights are only available as an additional accessory. The side profile comes with swelled wheel-arches while the shoulder line is slightly curvaceous. The S-Presso comes with pull-type door handles and skips alloy wheels even on the top-spec trim. At the back, the S-Presso comes with compact-wraparound tail-lamps and an otherwise simple layout.
The cabin of the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso features a modern dashboard layout. It gets an all-black colour scheme along with silver coloured accents which create a contrasting effect. The instrument cluster in the S-Presso is mounted on the centre console along with the 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The micro-SUV gets an all-black fabric upholstery with contrasting pattern. top-spec trims of the S-Presso comes with steering mounted audio and telephony controls but misses out on electrically adjustable ORVMs. Also, there is no automatic climate control on offer and the rear windows do not get power operation.
The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso gets a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine under its hood. This engine is capable of churning out 67 hp of power along with 90 Nm of peak torque. This is the same engine which currently available on the lower-spec trims of the Maruti Suzuki WagonR. However, for the S-Presso, the same has been updated to meet the upcoming BS-6 emission regulations.
The transmission line-up of the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso includes a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard across all variants. In addition to this, there is a 5-speed AMT unit on offer as well.
For braking, the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso uses ventilated disc brakes up-front with drum brakes at the rear. In terms of safety, the S-Presso comes with a driver-side airbag, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, driver and passenger seatbelt warning along with high-speed alert system as standard across the range.
The Standard and the Lxi variants of the S-Presso promise a fuel-efficiency figure of 21.4 kmpl. The rest of the variants, be it in the manual or the automatic guise, promise to offer a fuel-efficiency figure of 21.7 kmpl.
