The design of the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross is quirky and bears familiarity with the SX4 sedan. That said, the S-Cross measures 4,300 mm in length, 1,765 mm in width and 1,590 mm in height, which gives the crossover acceptable road presence. The 205/60 section 16-inch wheels offer good grip and suit the car well. Turning radius of the S-Cross is at 5.2 metres which makes it manoeuvrable even while parking in tight spots.
On the inside, the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross comes with an all-black interior and is well-equipped. It comes with a touchscreen unit that comes with Bluetooth connectivity on most of the variants of the crossover. This infotainment unit has steering mounted audio and phone controls as well as Apple CarPlay that mirrors the user’s iPhone screen on the infotainment unit. There is ample headroom and legroom in the vehicle and it can seat four adults comfortably. Wide opening doors also make getting in and out easy. There are a number of cubby holes to keep small objects in both rows as well.
Powering the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross a 1,248 cc DDIS200 The engine generates 88.5 hp power at 4,000 rpm and 200 Nm of torque at 1,750 rpm. The 1.3 litre engine are responsive and have ample power across the rev range.
The Maruti Suzuki S-Cross has two manual transmission options – a 5-speed for the DDIS200. The gearboxes offer seamless gearshifts and feature well-tuned gear ratios.
In terms of safety, all variants of the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross come with ABS and dual front airbags as standard equipment. For improved braking performance, the S-Cross also comes with disc brakes on all four wheels.
