The Ford EcoSport measures 3,998 mm in length, 1,765 in width and 1,647 mm in height. All variants of the compact SUV come with LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) along with follow me headlamps, body coloured bumpers, rocker claddings and rear defogger. The higher variants come with body coloured door handles, chrome front lower and upper grille, rear wiper with washer, signature lightguide, silver painted roof rails and front and rear fog lamps. The roof rails are being offered in the top three Trend+, Titanium and Titanium+ variants
The compact SUV offering from Ford EcoSport comes with an two tone interior theme which exudes a sporty appeal since it has a combination of light grey and black for the lower variants and dark grey/black for the top end Titanium+ trim. The Ford EcoSport also has driver’s seat height adjust, driver’s armrest, under passenger seat storage, illuminated passenger vanity mirror, load compartment light and reclining rear seats for the higher variants. In terms of convenience, the Ford EcoSport also has automatic climate control, cooled glovebox, steering wheel audio controls, sunglass holder, rear package tray and rear seat armrest with cup holders. The new Ford Ecosport also features paddle shifters that come only in the automatic variant of the top end Titanium+ model
The new 2017 Ford EcoSport draws its power from a 1.5 litre, three-cylinder petrol and 1.5-litre, four-cylinder diesel engines. While the petrol motor cranks out respective power and torque outputs of 122 hp at 6,500 rpm and 150 Nm at 4,500 rpm, the diesel mill is good for 99 hp at 3,750 rpm and 205 Nm at 3,250 rpm
The new 2017 Ford Ecosport comes with both, automatic and manual gearbox options. The petrol version gets five-speed manual gearbox in three variants namely Ambiente, Trend and Titanium while the other two trims get receive six-speed automatic gearbox. On the other hand, the diesel version of the Ecosport gets a five-speed manual gearbox, which is standard across all variants
The 2017 Ford EcoSport has dual front airbags as standard on all variants. An ABS (Anti-lock Brake System) with EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), rear child lock, crash unlocking system and engine immobiliser are also being offered on all variants. The compact SUV gets cruise control with adjustable speed limiter device along with side and curtain airbags on the top end Titanium+ trim
