Ford Freestyle is the company's crossover that comes based on the Figo. The idea is to offer a more muscular and high riding vehicle that looks bolder than the latter. The Ford Freestyle gets revised bumpers at the front and rear. The vehicle also gets fog lamps along with black finished roof rails. Powering the Ford Freestyle are two engine options. While the 1.2-litre petrol engine is good for producing a peak power output of 90 bhp, the 1.5-litre diesel is good for 100 horses. The cabin of the Ford Freestyle gets a new floating 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The Ford Freestyle is based on the Figo and looks beefed up than the latter. The car gets revised front and rear fenders and the high ground clearance makes the car more muscular. Ford calls the Freestyle as the CUV (Compact Utility Vehicle) and the car gets cladding all around that give it a proper crossover look.
Step inside the cabin of the Ford Freestyle and the interiors will remind you of the EcoSport. The upholstery is almost the same as the latter and you get a new 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. While the passengers at the front sit comfortably, there could have been better legroom in the second row.
The Ford Freestyle gets power from a 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine options. While the former is good for producing respective power and torque outputs of 95 bhp and 120 Nm, the latter develops 99 bhp and 215 Nm. Both engines come mated to a five-speed manual transmission system.
The two petrol and diesel engine options of the Ford Freestyle come mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The company does not offer an automatic gearbox with the car.
The Fird Freestyle gets dual airbags and ABS as standard across all variants. Besides, you also get automatic headlamps and rain sensing wipers along with engine immobiliser. Ford also offers child safety lock along with Electronic Brake Force Distribution with the car.
Ford Freestyle delivers a fuel efficiency of close to 19 kmpl for the petrol version and 22 kmpl for the diesel variant. The figures are quite impressive considering the segment.
