It’s raining deals and benefits at Tata.ev as it reached a major milestone of 2 lakh units sold in the domestic market. To celebrate this milestone, the Indian automobile manufacturer is offering attractive discounts on its electric lineup for the next 45 days encouraging both new buyers and existing Tata Motors customers to go electric or upgrade their vehicles. Additionally, reports have surfaced suggesting that Tesla may be in talks with Tata Motors for a potential collaboration in India.
What are the deals?
Tata.EV is offering benefits on its entire portfolio starting from Tiago EV, Tigor EV, Punch EV, Nexon EV and the Curvv EV. The four-wheeler manufacturer has an exchange bonus offer of up to Rs 50,000 on any passenger vehicle, — internal combustion engine or electric. Tata.ev is offering schemes, including zero down payment options that allow for 100 per cent on-road financing. Buyers of the Nexon EV and Currv EV will also enjoy additional perks, such as 6 months of free charging from the day of purchase. To eliminate any range anxiety, Tata.ev is providing complimentary installation of a 7.2 kW AC fast charger at home.
There are also exclusive benefits for current Tata electric vehicle owners who get an additional loyalty bonus of Rs 50,000 on the Nexon EV and the Currv EV. Tata ICE vehicle owners can avail of a loyalty bonus of Rs 20,000 on the Nexon EV and the Currv EV.
Tesla considering under Rs 21 lakh EV for India
Tesla has been burning the midnight oil to enter the Indian market, confirming the locations of its two showrooms in Delhi and Mumbai. The Delhi retail store will be situated in Aerocity while the Mumbai showroom will be at Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC). Reports indicate the Elon Musk-led EV company may offer a model priced under $25,000 or Rs 21 lakh. Tesla is looking to directly import its vehicles from its Berlin plant in Germany, rather than from China.
