The month of April has already witnessed plenty of action in the global automotive industry and it is bound for some action in the Indian auto market as well. Plenty of new car launches — both ICE and EVs — are slated to hit the roads this month. Let us take a look at all cars and SUVs that will be launched in April 2025.
Volkswagen Tiguan R Line
Volkswagen announced a few weeks ago that it will bring a performance-spec version of the Tiguan to India. Called Tiguan R Line, the performance SUV will be launched as a fully imported CBU model on April 14. It will be a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch DSG automatic gearbox. The India-spec Tiguan R Line will churn out 201 bhp and 320 Nm of peak torque. Power will be sent to all four wheels via Volkswagen’s 4Motion AWD system.

Expected Price: Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom)
Tata Harrier EV
Tata showcased the production version of the Harrier EV earlier this year at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The battery-powered SUV is expected to make its way to the market sometime this month. Based on Tata’s Acti.ev architecture, Harrier EV will come with a dual-motor all-wheel drive system. Power figure is still unknown but peak torque is rated at 500 Nm. Tata claims the electric SUV to offer a range of over 500 km although battery capacity remains under the wraps.

Maruti e Vitara
Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to launch its first EV in India– the e Vitara — sometime later this month. The electric SUV made its global debut at EICMA 2025 in Milan followed by a grand showcase at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Built on the newly developed Heartect-e platform, co-engineered with Toyota, e Vitara will be offered with two battery capacities—49 kWh and 61 kWh, expected to offer ranges up to 500 km.

MG Cyberster
JSW MG Motor will kickstart a new chapter in India with the launch of the Cyberster, the company’s first fully-imported CBU model. The all-electric roadster has been teased on social media on multiple occasions and will be sold through the company’s MG Select showrooms. Pre-bookings for the Cyberster have already started.

The electric sportscar will feature a dual-motor, all-wheel drive setup The combined output from this dual-motor setup is 504 bhp and 725 Nm of peak torque. There are four drive modes on offer: Comfort, Custom, Sport and Track. The dual-motor setup derives the energy from a 77 kWh battery pack which promises a range of 444 km on a single charge.

Skoda Kodiaq
Skoda will launch the second generation Kodiaq in India after a long time which made its global debut. To be offered as a CKD import, the second-gen Kodiaq is expected to be launched in mid-April. It is most likely to be offered with a 2.0-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine which pushes out 187 bhp and 320 Nm of peak torque. This mill will be paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox as standard.

Tata Curvv/Curvv EV Dark Edition
After Harrier, Safari, and Nexon, Tata Motors will launch the Dark Edition model of Curvv range. It will be based on the top-spec Accomplished trim, and it will be purely a cosmetic upgrade over the standard model. It will come wrapped in a black paint which will be complemented by a dark interior theme.

Expected Price: Rs 16.50 lakh (Curvv) / Rs 21 lakh (Curvv EV)
Citroen Basalt Dark Edition
Like the Tata Curvv Dark Edition, Citroen will also bring out a Dark Edition of the Basalt. A teaser of the same recently shared by the French carmaker on its social media handles. Like its direct rival, the Basalt Dark Edition will purely be a cosmetic upgrade over the standard model with blacked-out exterior and interiors.
