Tata Motors has delivered a knockout blow to Maruti Suzuki, breaking its 40-year streak of producing the country’s highest-selling vehicle. The Punch has now achieved the impossible, but it comes with a catch – a price hike of up to Rs 17,000, depending on the trim. The Punch joins the Tiago, Tiago EV, Tigor, and Nexon in the list of Tata models to receive a price increase.
Tata Punch: Increase of prices
The Punch internal combustion engine lineup is predominantly available in four variants — Pure, Adventure, Accomplished and Creative. The petrol manual range starts from Rs 6 lakh to Rs 9.57 lakh, while the AMT is from Rs 7.77 lakh to Rs 10.17 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi.Â
The sub-compact SUV is available in a CNG variant but does not offer the Creative trim. It comes in three variants — Pure, Adventure, and Accomplished — with prices ranging from Rs 7.30 lakh to Rs 10 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi.
Based on the variants, the Tata Punch has received a price increase from Rs 7,000 to Rs 17,000.
