It’s an open secret that Tata Motors will be launching the coupe SUV, the Curvv, very soon. The new SUV will come in both all-electric and internal combustion engine (ICE) versions. The company has announced that the EV will make its break cover before the ICE version. Recently, the Curvv ICE test vehicle was spied testing and it is expected to take on the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Honda Elevate etc in the mid-size segment. Tata Curvv ICE: Engines and Specifications

At the Auto Expo 2023, Tata Motors revealed two all-new turbo petrol engines — 1.2-litre TGDi and 1.5-litre TGDi. The former will have an output of 123bhp and 225Nm while the bigger motor churns out 167bhp and 280Nm of torque. The Indian automobile manufacturer confirmed that the Curvv will be powered by the 1.2-litre turbo. Even though there isn’t a confirmation, but the powertrain is expected to be mated to a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.Â
The Curvv will also be offered in diesel as it will get the 1.5-litre engine that is also available in the Nexon. The current trim in the sub 4 metre SUV pumps out 113bhp and 260Nm and is mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed AMT.
Tata Curvv ICE: Design

The Curvv is a coupe SUV with a tall stance that would draw a lot of attention from potential SUV buyers. Sticking to Tata Motors’ new Digital Design DNA, the Curvv sports a sleek LED DRL below the bonnet hood and triangular headlamps. From the side, it sports muscular wheel arches and connected LED tail lamps. The interiors will be spacious and a two-spoke steering wheel, front ventilated seats, 360-degree camera, panoramic roof and ADAS.
