Brace for a Steep Hike
Maruti Suzuki has officially explained the reason behind its upcoming price hike, stating — “While the company is committed to optimizing costs and minimizing the impact on customers, we are compelled to pass on some of the increased expenses to the market.”
What’s sure to catch everyone by surprise is that the Celerio will see the highest price increase across the Maruti Suzuki portfolio, with a premium of Rs 32,500. Next up is the Alto K10, the most affordable model in the lineup, which will see a price bump of Rs 19,500.
The popular Ertiga MPV, a best-seller for Maruti, will receive a rate adjustment of Rs 15,000, while its six-seater sibling, the XL6 from the Nexa range, will become Rs 10,000 pricier. As anticipated, the Invicto, based on the Toyota Innova Hycross, will see a significant increase of Rs 30,000, the second-highest hike after the Celerio.
The price bump is especially noticeable in Maruti’s SUV range. As mentioned earlier, the Grand Vitara will witness a Rs 25,000 increase, while the Brezza will get a price surge of Rs 20,000.
