The wait is over and Mahindra has revealed the prices of the new XUV 3XO. Prices for the sub-4 metre SUV start at Rs 7.49 lakh ex-showroom and go up to Rs 15.49 lakh ex-showroom for the range-topping version.Â

The Mahindra XUV 3XO competes in a competitive segment that consists of the Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, and Kia Sonet amongst others. Amongst the vehicles, the Nexon leads the segment in sales and has also seen a major update recently.
Another noteworthy aspect is that the Nexon is the only vehicle sold with a petrol engine, diesel mill, and an all-electric powertrain. The 3XO is offered with three engine choices, two petrol units and one diesel mill, paired to an automatic, or a manual gearbox.Â

In terms of features, the XUV brings a lot to the table, such as a panoramic sunroof, which is the first in its segment, a floating infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, and more. In terms of safety, Mahindra has set the level high for competition with 6 airbags and ADAS Level 2 amongst others, the latter of which is a segment first again.

The Mahindra 3XO is available in a total of nine variants, further divided by engine variants and gearbox choices. The prices range from Rs 7.49 lakh to Rs 15.49 lakh, ex-showroom.
And what we guessed was right, the XUV 3XO gets Level 2 ADAS, which is the same as the XUV700 and making it the only vehicle in the segment to get ADAS Level 2.
The Mahindra XUV 3XO gets a 7-speaker audio system from Harman kardon, which includes 2 tweeters, 4 speakers, and a subwoofer.

The XUV 3XO will come with 35 standard safety features, including 6 airbags, disc brakes for all four wheels, seat belt reminders for all seats, and more.
Safety is a key area of concern for many carbuyers and Mahindra has also joined the ‘five star safety rated’ club. The XUV 3XO is expected to get 6 airbags, ESP, traction control, ISOFIX seat anchors and possibly, ADAS tech.
Other features include a new 10.2-inch free-standing infotainment system, a 10.2-inch digital console, AdrenoX connected car tech, remote dual-zone climate control, and projector LED headlamps amongst others.
In terms of features, one of the biggest update will be the panoramic sunroof, which will make it a first in the segment. All the competitors offer a single pane sunroof.
The XUV 3XO will feature a radical new design. It gets sleek, angular lights, a sharp design, and LED lighting. There are many interesting design features.
Other competition includes the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Renault Kiger, and the Nissan Magnite. Amongst competition, the XUV300 is the most powerful, which gets a 129bhp petrol engine. Could Mahindra offer the engine with the 3XO?
The primary competitor of the new XUV 3XO is the Tata Nexon, which also leads the segment in terms of sales. The Nexon is available in multiple powertrain options, including an all-electric version.
