Hero MotoCorp just updated the Karizma XMR 210. In the latest iteration, the Karizma gains some features and specs over the MY2024 model. The Karizma XMR has the appearance and presence of a larger motorcycle, making it longer and wider than the R15. It also weighs 22.5 kilograms more. With a longer wheelbase, the Karizma is expected to offer slightly better stability. However, the R15 has an edge in ground clearance, offering 170mm compared to the XMR’s 160mm. On the other hand, the Karizma’s seat is a bit more accessible, standing at 810mm versus the R15’s 815mm.

2025 Hero Karizma XMR vs Yamaha R15: Features
The updated Karizma XMR comes with a new 4.2-inch fully-digital TFT instrument panel that offers smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth, call and message alerts, and turn-by-turn navigation. The R15 though misses out on navigation, it gets boosted by a traction control system, and a side-stand engine inhibitor, ride modes, and a quick shifter over the Karizma.
Besides call and messaging alerts, Yamaha’s Y-connect App offers more features like last parked location, maintenance alert, malfunction alert, etc. However, Karizma holds its ace with a USB charging port and an adjustable front windscreen over the R15. Both motorcycles offer LED headlights, taillights and turn indicators.

Both motorcycles are based on completely different architectures. While the R15 is based on a delta box frame, the Karizma XMR is based on a steel trellis frame. With the latest update the Karizma comes equipped with upside-down gold anodised front forks same as the R15. As for braking, Karizma offers slightly larger disc brakes but it should be noted that R15 is significantly lighter than its rival.

The Karizma XMR is powered by a 210cc liquid-cooled engine that delivers 25 bhp and 20.4 Nm of peak torque. In contrast, the R15 has a smaller engine and consequently produces less power, with an output of 18.2 bhp and 14.2 Nm of torque. Both bikes come equipped with a 6-speed gearbox and a slip-and-assist clutch, but the R15 gains an advantage with the addition of a quickshifter.
