Taking affordability as a major factor, TVS has launched a new variant of the Raider 125 with drum brakes, undercutting the Hero by a decent margin. Here’s how the two motorcycles compare in terms of specifications.

The TVS Raider 125 is priced at Rs 84,869 onwards, ex-showroom. The Raider is available in a total of five variants, while the range-topping SX version costs Rs 1.04 lakh, ex-showroom. For the price, the Raider 125 is well-equipped with a split seat, alloy wheels, disc brake up front, LED lighting, and a TFT instrument cluster.

The Hero Xtreme 125R has been gaining a lot of attention and enquiries, owing to its styling. The Hero Xtreme 125R is priced at Rs 95,181, ex-showroom, while it is available in two variants. Amongst the two, the Hero looks more muscular, while it gets alloy wheels, an aggressive design, and Showa suspension, making it better equipped in terms of hardware.
