Just a day after 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi smashed a six off his very first ball, 17-year-old Ayush Mhatre has lit up the stage with a sensational start of his own! Facing uncapped Ashwani Kumar, Mhatre announced himself with a fiery sequence—1, 4, 6, 6 off the first four balls he faced. Ironically, it was Ashwani who had dismissed the seasoned Ravindra with his very first delivery. Talk about a rollercoaster over!

Mitchell Santner capped off the powerplay with a masterclass in variation with subtle changes in pace, trajectory and line and it paid off handsomely. CSK were restricted to just 48 runs in the first six overs, their fourth-lowest powerplay score this IPL. But amidst the squeeze, young Ayush Mhatre continues to shine with composure and confidence.

This year, the MCA has decided not to sell the allotted seats; instead, they will be given to upcoming players who can draw inspiration from the legend and strive to achieve similar greatness.” These seats are called MS Dhoni seats as that was the spot where Dhoni’s 2011 World Cup final winning six landed.

The Mumbai Indians vs Chennai Super Kings match will be streamed live on JioHotstar and televised on the Star Sports Network. The toss for the game will take place at 7 pm and the first innings will begin at 7.30 pm.

It’s been a surprisingly quiet start to the season for Rohit Sharma.
