Indian equity indices opened Tuesday’s trading session on a subdued note. The NSE Nifty 50 opened flat at 26,175. The BSE Sensex opened muted at 85,555.
The Bank Nifty opened 38 points or 0.06% higher at 59,342. Similarly, the small and mid-cap stocks opened in the green. The Nifty Midcap opened 20 points or 0.03% higher at 60,835.
“There are two factors that will influence the market trend in the near term. Domestically, the macros and fundamentals are positive and look promising. This can embolden the bulls to take the rally to new highs in Nifty and Sensex soon. But externally, the strong revival in AI trade is a mild negative. This can delay the much-anticipated reversal of FII outflows. There is more volatility ahead in the AI trade. It remains to be seen how this will play out,” said VK Vijayakumar, Chief Investment Strategist at Geojit Investments.
