Maharashtra Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan on Thursday expressed sorrow over the passing of veteran industrialist Ratan Tata, calling him the conscience keeper of both the industry and the nation. “Shri Ratan Tata was one of the brightest jewels of the global Tata empire founded by late Jamshedji Tata 150 years ago. Adopting modern management practices, Ratan Tata established the Tata Group as a trusted Indian global brand, without ever compromising with the vision of the founding fathers,” he said.

Tata’s mortal remains will be placed at the National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA) in South Mumbai today, allowing the public to pay their respects from 10 AM to 4 PM. According to PTI, his final rites will be conducted later in the day in Worli, Mumbai.

Indians will always remember his remarkable work in the field of education, health care, cleanliness, human welfare and his contribution in strengthening the country’s economy. He will always live in our memories…The unprecedented work done by him for better change in the country and society will remain a source of inspiration for all of us. I humbly pray to God to grant peace to the departed soul and provide strength to the bereaved family and his well-wishers,” he said.

I pray for his eternal sadagati,” he wrote on X.
