Pain points may have started to emerge in alliance talks within the NDA even as the BJP readies plans for a grand swearing-in ceremony of the NDA government under the leadership of Narendra Modi as Prime Minister. The TDP, it is learnt, is keen on the Lok Sabha Speaker’s post as it drives a hard bargain with BJP. The Modi-shah duo, however, have so far refused to relent, making it clear that they are unwilling to cede key ministries and the Speaker’s post to its allies.
As talks move with allies over the Cabinet formation of the NDA government, top BJP leaders Amit Shah and JP Nadda arrived at the 7 LKM Marg residence of PM Modi. It is likely that a decision on the names of BJP MPs to be appointed as ministers will be taken during the meeting.
Reports suggest that the BJP is in touch with Independent candidates and smaller parties who have won the 2024 elections. The efforts may be part of its strategy to shore up as many MPs as possible into its fold in case the talks with allies take an unexpected turn. As many as 19 MPs are currently out of the NDA or INDIA fold.

Earlier today, LJP (Ramvilas) leader Chirag Paswan also said that he is in favour of a review of the Agnipath scheme and a nationwide caste census.

Today, the biggest reason for me to rejoice is that we are going to achieve this goal… Who becomes a part of the government and who doesn’t, who becomes a minister and who doesn’t is not the priority of any of the allies. I hear on media channels that he demanded this or demanded that – but nobody did. In NDA meeting yesterday, we once again accepted the leadership of PM…”

I thank the people of Ayodhya. You would have seen the pain of Ayodhya from time to time. Injustice was done to the people of Ayodhya. They were not given adequate compensation for their land, injustice was done to them, their land was not acquired at par with the market price, you snatched their land forcibly by slapping false cases against them…you destroyed the poor for a sacred thing.
