The design of the Toyota Yaris resembles to that of the previous Corolla with the similar looking front end. Powering the Toyota Yaris is a 1.5-litre petrol engine that comes mated to a six-speed manual transmission. A CVT transmission is also offered as optional. The engine is good for churning out respective power and torque outputs of 106 bhp and 140 Nm. Currently, Toyota does not offer a diesel engine option with the Yaris.
The 1.5-litre petrol engine on the Toyota Yaris is offered with a six-speed manual gearbox. The company also offers an optional CVT transmission with the car and it is one of its prime highlights.
The Toyota Yaris gets disc brakes fitted on all four wheels. Besides, the car comes with numerous safety features, some of which are not even present on its rivals. The Yaris gets seven airbags including curtain and knee airbags. The midsize sedan also gets ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) along with EBD (Electronic Brake Forde Distribution). The Toyoyta Yaris also gets parking sensors for the front and rear along with a rear parking camera.
The manual version of the Toyota Yaris offers a fuel efficiency of 17 kmpl while the automatic trim returns slightly higher figure at 18 kmpl.
