BMW 6 Series GT
The BMW 6-series GT was showcased globally for the first time at 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show. The front end of the BMW 6-series GT resembles to that of the 5-series luxury sedan. The BMW 6-series Gt bridges the gap between the 5-series and the 7-series. The Gran Turismo gets power from a 2.0-litre petrol and a 2.0-litre diesel engine. BMW has plans to launch the diesel versions of the 6-series GT but at a later stage. The car has been launched as a replacement for the 5-series GT. The new BMW 6-series GT is up for sale in India at a price of Rs 60.8 lakh (ex-showroom, India) and this price is for the petrol version. The BMW 6-series GT primarily challenges the likes of Mercedes CLS and the Audi A7 when it gets launched here in India.

BMW 6 Series GT Exterior
The BMW 6-series GT is widely known as one of the most modern looking Beamers. The coupe like styling is one of the prime visual highlights of the car and in our opinion, it looks better than the 5-series. In fact, the 6-series GT comes based on the 5-series GT and still it looks bigger and is lightweight than its predecessor. The new model looks more proportionate than the previous model.

BMW 6 Series GT Engine
The BMW 6-series GT uses the same 2.0-litre, turbocharged, four cylinder petrol engine that powers the 5-series. The engine is good for churning out a peak power output of 258 bhp. BMW also plans to launch a 2.0-litre diesel and a 3.0-litre engine having output of 190 bhp and 265 bhp respectively but at a later stage.

BMW 6 Series GT Transmission
The existing 2.0-litre petrol and the upcoming diesel engines on the BMW 6-series GT come mated to an eight speed automatic gearbox. The transmission is the same for two upcoming diesel engines as well of the 6-series GT.

BMW 6 Series GT Braking and Safety
The BMW 6-series GT gets disc brakes all around along with an ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) for added safety. The car gets an air suspension system in order to offer a smooth and comfortable ride. Standard LED headlights are also offered with the car and these offer better illumination compared to the regular units.
