On the front, the all-new 3 Series gets major updates such as LED headlamps with L-shaped DRLs and LED taillamps. In terms of dimensions, the new version is 85mm longer, 16mm wider and has a 41mm longer wheelbase than its previous generation. The next-generation measures 4709mm in length, 1827mm in width,1442mm in height and have a 2851mm in wheelbase. The 320d comes with 17-inch alloy, while the 330i is equipped with an 18-inch alloy wheel.
The BMW 3 Series creates an impression of a cockpit with efficient space management in order to provide the driver access to all information on the instrument display. In the middle part of the central console is the iDrive controller which controls all the functions on the monitor upfront that is easily accessible by both front occupants. There is ample amount of space with cup holders and a removal storage compartments. It also has additional storage compartment in the central console for mobile devices. The interior trim has choices like walnut with pearl chrome and anthracite with pearl chrome. It also has Bluetooth with audio streaming and handsfree.
BMW 3 Series is powered by 2.0-litre petrol and diesel engine. The petrol engine makes 258hp of power and 400Nm of torque, while the diesel engine produces 190hp and 400Nm.
The 2.0-litre petrol and diesel engine come with 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission as standard. The sedan comes with four driving modes – Comfort, Ecopro, Sport, Sport Plus.
In terms of safety, BMW 3 Series comes with DSC (Dynamic Stability Control), CBC (Corner Braking Control), ABS (Anti lock Braking System) with brake assist and airbags. It also has an electronic vehicle immobiliser and crash sensors. It also comes with side impact protection with runflat tyres with reinforced side walls.
The 3 Series comes with a 1998cc engine petrol engine which gives a fuel efficiency of 16.13kmpl, while the 1995cc diesel engine gives a mileage of 20.37kmpl.
