Mahindra has a few upcoming launches and the ones to look out for are the two electric SUVs — the BE 6e and XEV 9e. The vehicles have been teased several times and have also been spotted testing on Indian roads. Now, the company has released teasers again, in the form of sketches. Here’s what the sketches reveal and what one can expect from the production version of the two all-electric Mahindra SUVs.
Mahindra BE 6e and XEV 9e sketches — What do they reveal?
The sketches are usually the designer’s take on the overall looks of the vehicle and they are close to the production vehicle. The images reveal a muscular design on the two SUVs, with the BE 6e showcasing a sporty profile, sculpted surfaces, and aerodynamic features. The XEV 9e expresses sophistication and performance, with a bold SUV coupe design.

Both the electric SUVs will be underpinned by the INGLO skateboard architecture, which is designed to host an all-electric vehicle platform. The platform smartly houses the battery pack so that the space is utilised to the max to offer better weight distribution. The platform can also accommodate different drive types: front-wheel-drive, rear-wheel-drive, and all-wheel-drive.
Mahindra BE 6e and XEV 9e — Battery specifications
The two Mahindra SUVs will come with two battery pack options – 59kWh and 79kWh – which Mahindra claims will have the best range in the segment. The platform can support charging up to 175 kW, which can juice up the battery from 20–80 percent in 20 minutes. When the two SUVs will make their debut on 26, they will be rear-wheel-drive with the motors sourced from Volkswagen. At a later stage, there will be all-wheel-drive versions as well.
